Johncroft or jimcroft? Mystrade or mollcroft?

See, the thing is is that they’re both affairs. And I mean, Jim’s always going to be more fun in an affair. It’s like, “Gotta wear this sweater so Sherlock thinks I had sex with a woman,” vs “Is this week more of a kidnap week or a get-myself-arrested week?”

Does that make sense?

~

And I mean THIS is not a challenge at all. No matter what other insane sex-anigans I image Mycroft getting in to, I’ve never completely dropped Mystrade from when I discovered it when I first watched Sherlock.

With Mollcroft it’s like every once in an age I’ll think, ‘Oh lord, that’s like the epitome of cuteness why don’t you ship that?!’ and then I do ship it, determinedly and obsessively. Always, though, within 48 hours I’m back to thinking, ‘No. They’d totally just be bffs,’ and that’s that for a while. (For some reason it works differently when Jim’s thrown in. They work from friends back to lovers.)

cannot find the source of this pic. must be fan art.

well, reminded me of a mystrade where there is a book shelf in mycroft’s bedroom and they knock it down – while going at it. does anyone remember?

scatter brain that i am, my mind is too jumbled at the moment to think clearly. anyway, saving this to re-visit and fill in the name of the mystrade and it’s author.

[like to keep … an inventory for my reads, that’s all 🙂 ]

They knock over a bookshelf in the Memoranda of Understanding- Accord- Chapter 15. (https://archiveofourown.org/works/4386950/chapters/11953499)

problematic-just-because:

It’s Mycroft’s birthday and Sherlock decides that he’ll prank him as a present.
He makes it past an outraged John. He makes it past all of Mycroft’s security. He makes it all the way to Mycroft’s living-room door and here, of all places, he stops.
He stops because in said living room he finds Mycroft dancing (cough, Swaying) with Greg (to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”, obviously) and he must really be going soft because all he does is take a short video to send to John with the caption ‘Maybe next year, then.’ before sneaking back out of the house.

John doesn’t show it to anyone and Sherlock doesn’t tell anyone else what he saw. Fast forward a few years to the wedding and Sherlock records that dance too (also to Perfect, obvi) and when Greg and Mycroft return from their honeymoon, they find a video ready to play. It’s their first dance as a married couple spliced with the first dance Sherlock recorded.

reblogging for the addition…

I could write out a massive list of all my ships. But the simpler, much more honest version is for me to say that I ship a somewhat emotionally stunted Mycroft Holmes with a character who happens to be thinking “Holy shit, Sherlock. THATS your brother?!”
