sherLOCK and miKEY
Mummy Holmes is a genius!

…and here I was wondering why she called Sherlock “Sherlock” but Mycroft was “Mikey”

Okay, okay, okay. They were originally Mycroft and William. Undercover-child-genius and the newborn. Until one night Sherlock’s throwing a fit and none of the usual solutions are working, so Mycroft finally steps in and after his first public deductions display, calmly shows his parents what they need to be doing. Sherlock stops crying almost instantly.
Mummy cooks up this lovely play on words around three in the morning and (of course) immediately shakes her husband awake to share.

problematic-just-because:

It’s Mycroft’s birthday and Sherlock decides that he’ll prank him as a present.
He makes it past an outraged John. He makes it past all of Mycroft’s security. He makes it all the way to Mycroft’s living-room door and here, of all places, he stops.
He stops because in said living room he finds Mycroft dancing (cough, Swaying) with Greg (to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”, obviously) and he must really be going soft because all he does is take a short video to send to John with the caption ‘Maybe next year, then.’ before sneaking back out of the house.

John doesn’t show it to anyone and Sherlock doesn’t tell anyone else what he saw. Fast forward a few years to the wedding and Sherlock records that dance too (also to Perfect, obvi) and when Greg and Mycroft return from their honeymoon, they find a video ready to play. It’s their first dance as a married couple spliced with the first dance Sherlock recorded.

reblogging for the addition…

Sherlock has to bring Mycroft and Molly together to help plot his fake-suicide, and, of course, it’s like the collision of two fiery, sass-suns, but they both (ironically) see the other as this poor, depressed, lonely soul.
So as they’re wrapping up a Killing Sherlock meeting one night (Sherlock tried to protest the name, but he really has no say in the situation), one or the other decides that “Okay, I’m taking you out tonight,” and the other’s response is just a shocked, “YOU are taking ME out?!” And in that instant they become best friends and go out and try to pick up guys together and they text constantly and they have cat-play dates every other week.
